Need a new Oil Boiler?

We know that deciding on the best boiler for your home is an important decision. Your new boiler needs to meet the demands of your household and fit in the space that you have available.

We will work with you to advise you on the best solution but you can gain basic knowledge by reading our brief advice below.

Choosing a Boiler

There are three types of boiler available and they are all suited to different types of homes and living situations. Let us explain the advantages and disadvantages of one type of boiler over another.

Combi Boliers

Combination boilers provide heating and hot water on demand.

One of the key benefits of the combi boiler is the fact that they do not require water storage tanks or cylinders, making it a more compact space saving option.

Note: A combi boiler does not have a backup electric immersion heater, so if the boiler breaks down you will be left with no hot water until your boiler is repaired.

System Boilers

System boilers require a hot water cylinder for storing hot water.

Unlike the regular boiler a system boiler does not require a seperate cold water tank as it takes cold water from the mains water supply.

For customers who live in large houses with three or more bathrooms it is worth considering a system boiler, they are not suitable for small homes with limited space.for small homes with limited space.

Regular Boilers

Regular boilers, or heat only boilers, require a cold water storage tank in your loft to provide the boiler with water by gravity feed.

Your hot water is stored in a tank.

Generally these boilers are suitable for large families that have a high hot water demand.

These types of boilers are becoming outdated due to the low water pressure that is delivered to taps and showers.
